(Brussels, 19 January 2017) In view of the upcoming vote in the European Parliament on the draft report of the revised EU Waste legislation, Europe’s food and drink manufacturers reaffirm their commitment to integrate food waste prevention and resource efficiency into their own operations and all parts of their supply chain.
(Brussels, 13 December 2016) FoodDrinkEurope welcomes the implementation, as of today, of new nutrition labelling rules foreseen by the Regulation on the provision of food information to consumers . Following the application of the general labelling rules two years ago, the new rules represent a further step to provide consumers with factual and comparable information about the nutritional content of products.
(Brussels, 24 November 2016) At an event hosted this morning by the European Economic & Social Committee, FoodDrinkEurope launched its “Small scale, big impact” project, highlighting the key role Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises play in Europe’s food and drink sector. Commissioner Hogan welcomed the participants and SME representatives who presented their products and shared their experience with policy-makers.
